Child Safeguarding Policy

HireATutor's child-safety controls include state-appropriate credential verification, parent-controlled session choices, restricted incident reporting and administrator review. These measures support safer decisions but do not replace a parent or guardian's judgement, supervision or emergency services.

Tutor verification and session safety

Before a tutor profile is published, HireATutor records and reviews the applicable state child-safety credential or approved current teacher registration. Families should review the tutor profile, communicate expectations and choose a suitable delivery setting. Where there is an immediate danger or emergency, call 000.

Reporting a concern

Parents can submit a factual child-safety concern through HireATutor's reporting pathway. Reports are restricted to authorised administrators for triage and follow-up. The current public policy is available in the browser version of this page.
